We're excited to get another great year of MSA started and hope everyone is doing well. Each of you is at a different point in medical school...research, some play (hopefully), rotations, and some more studying. You can do it! We hope you'll find MSA to be a great place of support and friendship while your significant other is in medical school. For those of you who couldn't attend the Opening Social, we missed you but hope you'll be able to join us for future activities.

If you'd like to join MSA this year, please be sure to complete a membership form and send your dues to the address on the form. This form is available through e-mail.  You can leave a comment on this blog post with your e-mail address and we will send the form to your e-mail.  This will give us the information we need to get you on all the correct mailing lists for upcoming events. Dues for this year are $15.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter egg hunt was so much fun!  Thanks for making everything happen, Erica Wilkinson.  We had a great turn out and the weather was so beautiful!  Happy spring everyone!

Doctor's Day

Saturday March 30, 2013 was Doctor's Day.  We hope all the med students felt loved!  After assembling over 200 bags of cookies with thank you notes, a few MSA members passed out goodies to the medical students.  All the students were so grateful.  We are glad we could show our appreciation for them.

Match Day!

Match Day for the 4th year medical students was on March 15--such an exciting day!

Feb. Service Project

Our February service project was awesome.  We cut out felt to sew hats for children who are homeless.  We also tied a few quilts for the St. Martha's Project: Born into Poverty.  Thanks, Nicole for letting us be in your lovely home.  We had a great time chatting while serving.  Thanks for all the help!

Medical Marriages Night

Medical Marriages Night was amazing!  We had a great turn out of over 80 people.  Thanks for coming.  We had a great panel of doctors, their wives, and financial advisers.  They shared their personal experiences of how they have kept their families strong throughout their medical journey.  There is a financial power point presentation available via email.  If you are interested, please email medicalspousesutah@gmail.com and we will send it to you.  A very special thanks to Michelle Chestnut, Jocelyn Knott, and Mandi Enz for putting together a wonderful night for us all!
